One Week Left

Tomorrow begins the last week of school at Bellevue. Aaron is to speak at the junior high graduation on Thursday evening and then high school graduation will be Friday night. He has a work day on Saturday and then he is completly finished. We plan to take his parents to the airport for their nine month stay in Africa on Monday morning. I know that will be a hard day. I don't know how we will let them go!
Our next big project starting Monday evening is to move all we have left (we've given away much of our furniture!) to our new home. SIM, our mission agency (www.sim.org) has informed us that the house we hoped to live in in Gure is not suitable for our family, and so they are leaning towards basing us in Miango where we will work with the various communities in the area. We are really leaving all of this to the Lord, for we have no idea what to expect. We feel like this might be a better situation in that we can see a more diverse selection of mission outreaches, and gain a greater vision for where we will best fit in the future. Please pray with us for God's clear direction and provision.

Mission Update

Well, if you are reading our blog page, you already know we are working towards leaving for Africa as missionaries! We are very excited, but still in the "hurry up and wait" stage. Aaron took the first leap of faith and gave his resignation at Bellevue where he has coached for two years. As of May 25, 2007 we will move out of the school owned house we live in and be jobless! Wow. Aaron's parents, John and Pat, are leaving for Tanzania, Africa on May 28th and we will be moving into their house. Aaron is pursuing several job options for the summer. We hope to raise our support and be ready to leave by October of this year. I am expecting our fourth child in August, so we will be taking four children on a plan across the world! We still don't know specifics about our destination. Currently we are looking at working with the Fulani (largest nomadic unreached people group in the world) in Gure, Nigeria. Everything is still up in the air as of now. God is amazing and has opened every door and gently led us each step of the way. We are very excited to see how He works out all the details. Our desire is to see "every tribe and tongue" worshipping Him! Our mission is not about us, or a specific people. Our goal is to bring greater glory to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
